Round and round it goes
For some million years humanoid creatures have survived on this planet by eating fresh plants grown in living soil.
The way it worked is simple. Plants capture energy from the sun, they die and an army of recyclers worms, ants, beetles, insects, maggots, and creepy crawlies break down this organic matter.
Like us they have guts full of microbes that pass into the soil, then the plants we eat, and finally into our gut.
This is our control system which regulates our bodies, in particular regulating the amount of fat we store.
In the short term, this keeps us alive and in the longer term, it provides a sustainable food system.
Why do we need growers who recycle?
After working successfully for over a million years, humans – (or more specifically a few mega chemical corporations) – decided that it would be far more profitable to base our food system on chemicals rather than recycling organic waste.
This certainly produced vast quantities of food in the short term but killed off all those creatures that have until then been happily recycling our organic waste and breeding the beneficial microbes that form our gut brain.
We need growers who are prepared to breed the beneficial creatures that keep the soil and us healthy.
What’s in it for the grower
The food industry is dominated by mega players who are very good at mass marketing and have a great deal of control over their growers. This may work fine for much of the population.
However, some people want to buy real food that is fresh and healthy and more specifically which reduces the risk of them having a limb amputated from diabetes (which globally happens every eight seconds).
But there is an even larger group of people who are just plain fed up with the high-pressure advertising, specials, buy two get one free, etc which is nothing more than psychological manipulation.
They fully understand that continuing along the path of just exploiting the earths resources without considering sustainability will lead to a major disaster for our species.
They fully understand that they, as a single individual, may have little chance to change the system but collectively the way many people spend their money can completely change the system.
This is the power of the wallet and there are many people fully prepared to support growers by spending their money with growers who adopt sustainable growing practices to grow food that leads to genuine health.
The world is not full of people who only think about their short-term financial gain – there are plenty of far-sighted decent people who want to do the right thing.
That is how humans became the dominant species on the planet.
I know this as a fact. Thousands of people who visit my website and ask me where they can buy sustainable food that will improve their health.
At this moment I have no answer which is why I am running this campaign to recruit Gbiota growers.
What does a grower have to do?
There are two aspects, setting up the production facility and developing a customer base.
Production
Setting up production to create Gbiota soil which they can put into Gbiota boxes to sell to their customers should not present any difficulties to an experienced grower.
This is documented on this web and we are here to talk you through any issues, direct you to the appropriate articles and discuss any specific issue on your site.
Every site is a bit different with different soils, climate ,and crops but that is all pretty much business as usual.
Once you have signed up as a Gbiota grower we can talk you through all the technical issues.
Establishing a customer base
But growers have to develop viable, paying businesses.
Now comes the more difficult process of establishing a customer base.
I have learned two things.
The first is that, at this moment, most people are perfectly happy to go to the supermarket and buy what is on offer.
If it looks good they simply buy without worrying about the living microbes and phyto-nutrients which are essential for health.
If they do have health problems their first stop is to buy some pill which is likely to be cleverly advertised on the internet but is probably of dubious value.
This is their current buying habit, the result of the current manipulation of the truth which is a feature of the modern internet.
In the short term, it is very difficult to break them out of that habit against the marketing power of mega-corporation.
The second thing I have learned is that when people understand the importance of diet and their gut biota they get engaged – this is very much a niche market.
It is surprising how motivated people become when they understand there is a high chance of avoiding having their leg amputated by simply eating the right sort of food.
Gbiota.com, gbiota.club and pickandeat.shop
I have three main websites.
gbiota.com
Gbiota.com is the technical website where I post my articles.
People can sign up and chat with me on technical issues.
We live in an age where privacy seems to be lost in history. Gbiota.com is a confidential web site so people can sign up and their information is treated as confidential.
gbiota.club
But many people want to make contact with similar people. That is what gbiota.club is all about. It is restricted to gbiota members, personal details are not passed on to external people who may want to sell you something but any information you paste on gbiota.club is available to other gbiota members.
It also has a geolocation facility so you can create your own icon saying I am here and other members can contact you directly. This is a free site but you must be signed up on gbiota.com.
pickandeat.shop
Pickandeat.shop is a multi-vendor website where growers have their own page to tell the world about themselves and offer their products for sale.
This is a bit different from selling T-shirts. Customers and growers will probably want to enter into an arrangement where the grower prepares boxes with specific plants on an agreed schedule.
What’s changed?
I became interested in gut biota when my wife, Xiulan, a medical doctor became diabetic and when her foot started to turn black her doctors were recommending amputation.
We learned that diabetes is caused by fat in the wrong places, at first in the muscles creating insulin resistance, and later when fat saturates the pancreas so it can no longer produce insulin.
We learned that the gut-brain is the control center that decides how much and where to store fat and that the gut-brain can be readily changed simply by eating gut- brain food.
I promoted this on my web and developed a core of dedicated followers but this was minuscule compared to the number of people who need a healthy gut brain (actually about 8 billion, the total world population).
I decided this was so important that this information should be widely available and started to promote using Google ads.
The results were dramatic with thousands of visits to my website, but I quickly learned that breeding beneficial microbes in organic waste is just not most people’s scene – they just wanted to go and buy a product ready to go without the hassle.
This is why I decided I needed a campaign to recruit regenerative growers.
I am now sitting back waiting to see if these growers sign up.
I look forward to hearing from you.
